Mice come
in a wide variety of shapes, styles, colors, connectors, etc. The
traditional mouse (top right) is the most common. If you shop around
however, you will probably find a non-traditional mouse that more suits
you. There are "Trackball" mice that are stationary, and therefore,
take less desk space. There are touchpad mice (my personal favorite)
that are stationary, and can perform some very neat tricks, like
tap-to-click, or slide-scrolling.
Like keyboards, mice use many
different connectors, like USB, serial, and PS/2. If you find the
mouse you like but it has the connector you don't, just find the correct
adapter.

The bottom left is a "Presenter's Mouse". It
is used most often with data projectors to give multi-media presentations
(like PowerPoint). |
